It was challenging but enjoyable
It was a great year with ups and downs but Im extremely glad to have chose a placement year instead of a year abroad The company and the people were great and I felt IBM treated me with respect
The IBM Extreme Blue is fantastic You get the opportunity to take control of a real project with access to all of IBMs resources you develop some fantastic skills especially in presentation and the whole this is a huge amount of fun
I enjoyed my placement year at IBM quite a lot although it did have its highs and its lows but that can be expected anywhere
I had a really great manager and got to work on some fun things but the majority of the work was quite mundane
A year of work placement is definitely the best experience possible to set you up for life after graduation I really enjoyed having the chance to experience the real business world and work with professionals in many areas
