I had a fantastic two weeks here met some lovely and interesting people and did a lot of enjoyable work best placement I have ever done
It was the best placement I had done throughout the summer so far
The placement was very well organised Everyone was placed with a trainee buddy who worked in the department we were sitting in The whole experience was very positive
Exceeded my expectations
The level of responsibility was good I was involved in a number of things from meetings clients to drafting researching Plus the whole firm is on a move with post merger situation so there was a real buzz in the place
It was definitely a good way to gain an honest insight into the firm as well as the work of trainees and lawyers showing us both the work and the social sides of being a lawyer for the firm
This placement exceeded my expectations and I throroughly enjoyed it
The work that you are given to do can be the work that usually nobody else wants to do and that is for a reason It could have been a little more challenging however I think it varies depending on who your trainee buddy is
Everyone was really friendly Whilst you are only in one department for the fortnight you attend daily talks from other departments to get a broad experience and people in other teams are more than happy to talk to you about their work
The work was relevant and rewarding not just redoing something already completed by an employee
I was given a broad range of work allowing me to gain an insight into the breadth of transactions the Corporate department is involved in The work was varied and interesting and we also had the opportunity to listen to talks from other departments which
Really enjoyed it Kept busy trainee buddies were very helpful and friendly
The chance for people interested in law to have an authentic experience Very different from past work experience that I experienced at high street firms Very enjoyable
After the initial inductions were over I enjoyed my team sat in the department and the socials were great
