Assigned a project to complete over the summer on estimating the UKs FDI position Given help and support on Excel and STATA to run regressions Subsidised canteen and flexible hours along with direct link to the MPC were the real plus points

All summer interns work on a project mine was interesting and I had a lot of choice in the direction it would take In many cases interns work will be used to guide future work by economists in the bank so it is satisfying to know your work is important
Overall the internship gave a really good insight into the responsibilities of the Bank I was allowed to have hands on experience as an employee from day one as I attended meetings seminars and produce work that the team used directly
